She was very active in the local chapter of the AARP and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Lila taught in the Great Valley School District for 20 years. She is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Palionis of Sun City, Ariz. She is survived by her husband, John Kemler, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage and son, James Kemler of West Chester.
